Dear NAWBO-OC Member:
Serving NAWBO-OC members as chapter President was a great honor and experience for me. As the Immediate Past President, one of my most important duties is to chair the Nominating Committee and continue to guide the chapter by assuring its ongoing strength of leadership.
Serving in a leadership position in NAWBO-OC is a very rewarding experience. As business owners, it is important that we constantly sharpen our business and leadership skills, as well as broaden our business network. Contributing your time, energy and expertise as a NAWBO-OC leader can make a positive impact on the bottom line of your business and, at the same time, make a positive difference to the success of other women.
The relationships I have built within the NAWBO-OC organization and the Orange County community at large by serving on the NAWBO-OC board have given my business more visibility and provided me with a network of exceptional, savvy women whom I consider to be both colleagues and friends.
Please give this opportunity serious consideration. Your special skills, talent and vision can make a dynamic difference to so many other women business owners. I encourage you to take some time and thoroughly explore what this opportunity can mean to you personally and to your business. Finally, if you know another member who would be an excellent candidate, please submit her nomination. Links are provided to the Position Descriptions that may help clarify the requirements of each office and the nomination form.
The deadline to submit Nomination Forms is Friday March 27, 2009. Candidates will be interviewed on April 2nd and the Nominating Committee will announce its candidates at the April 7th dinner meeting. A Petition Process will follow this and the final slate will be announced at the dinner meeting on May 5th. Ballots for the election will be emailed after the announcement.
Self-nominations are welcome!
Sincerely,
Barri Carian
Immediate Past President
Nominating Committee Chair - NAWBO-OC
