NAWBO-OC is proud to announce the development
of a new Education Center dedicated to furthering the success
of women business owners by offering classes, workshops and

and company growth. To better identify and serve the needs
of NAWBO-OC members and other women business owners in Orange
County, the educational programs have been designed around
three target segments:

fun food choices without compromising health. By participating
in NAWBO's mentoring program, educational courses, and monthly
networking meetings, I now have the tools necessary to expand my
business to the next level." —Gerrie Adams, Xengaru

SUCCESS
Teams NAWBO-OC has extended our educational and developmental
programs by offering SUCCESS Teams to complement our mentoring
and business training curriculum. Unlike other programs of this
type, we offer this to members without restriction on company earnings,
at a fraction the price of other programs.
What is a SUCCESS Team?
A SUCCESS Team is a group of 6-10 business owners who meet regularly,
to use their combined knowledge, experience, and energy to support
each other’s business success. Each group is facilited by a trained
and exerienced business coach and will meet twice per month, once in
person and once via conference call.
SUCCESS Team meetings will be held on the first
Tuesday of the month from 1 to 4pm for six months. There will
also be "mid-month" conference calls. After joining
a team, you will be expected to attend at least 10 out of the
12 meetings. You will also be required to participate in a general
orientation meeting which will be offered before your first SUCCESS
Team meeting.
Registration for the next round of SUCCESS Teams is underway. The deadline to register will be Friday, April 10, 2009. Orientation is Wednesday the 15th from 1pm to 4pm, and the first team meeting is Wednesday, April 22nd. If you’d like to learn more about NAWBO's success team program click
here or visit the SUCCESS Team table at the next NAWBO dinner
meeting. The support, accountability, and feedback you get in
these peer advisory groups is an invaluable benefit to NAWBO
members...as you network don’t forget to ask other members
about their experiences!
Please note that there are only three opportunities per year
to join a success team—January, May, and September (teams
begin meeting the following month).
Classes
will take place at Sunwest Bank, 17542 East 17th St,
#200, Tustin, CA. MAP
Storytelling for Fun and Profit
April 21, 2009 from 10:00am - 1:00pm
If you wonder what difference storytelling makes, just consider Apple. They actually invented the first ahead-of-its-time PDA, but the Newton was a failure because they didn't have Steve Jobs to tell the story. Six years later, with Jobs at the helm, their next little product changed music forever.
But storytelling isn't just about selling your products or services. It's how you invent new things, engage your employees and partners, and forge solid customer relationships.
In this three-hour, hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to use storytelling in every part of your business, and you'll emerge with the most powerful tool in history to start, build, and reinvent your business.
