Story Telling for Fun & Profit, by Lynda Lawrence, Chief Idea Officer, Ideaworks Consulting
If you wonder what difference storytelling makes, just consider Apple. They actually invented the first ahead-of-its-time PDA, but the Newton was a failure because they didn't have Steve Jobs to tell the story. Six years later, with Jobs at the helm, their next little product changed music forever.
But storytelling isn't just about selling your products or services. It's how you invent new things, engage your employees and partners, and forge solid customer relationships.
In this four-hour, hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to use storytelling in every part of your business, and you'll emerge with the most powerful tool in history to start, build, and reinvent your business.

THE NEWS
Both Hilary Kaye, president of HKA Inc., and Cara Good, chief executive of Wundermarx|PR, were quoted in Jan Norman's April 1 article in the O.C. Register. Offering opinions on the relevance of federal help to small business owners, Hilary finds more benefit in tax incentives than in loans, while Cara says the increased availability of loans can help to get businesses through the crunch.

Member-to-Member Opportunity Program
Increase Your Business | Increase Your Income
Do you have a business that has benefitted, or could benefit from referrals by other Members? Do you pay commissions or fees for referrals, or have you considered doing so? If you've answered "yes" to these questions, then you'll want to contribute to our new "Member-to-Member Opportunity Program". As part of our commitment to being the premier business engine in Southern California, NAWBO-OC is building a database of Member-to-Member Opportunities. We ask all of you to give this some thought and submit any opportunities for referrals that may benefit your business. We'll then post a "Member-to-Member Opportunities Wall" on our website and/or within one or several of the NAWBO-OC social networking communities. And of course we'll publish our inaugural Opportunities in the next edition of the E-News. Click here to download the Member-to-Member Opportunity Program form.
