TRUST YOUR BRAND:
Optimizing the momentum of your personal brand . . .
by Glenn Llopis
"You can't invent, you can't innovate, you can't grow, you can't give, you can't lead - you can't truly live - if you don't Trust Your Brand."
Your brand is the single most important asset that you bring to the table. It is critical that you recognize that realism is not negativism. Knowing yourself, taking personal stock with an objective eye, you almost always best know how you can contribute in a positive way. You create the person that your organization depends upon, and you should be the one that defines your role in life.
This keynote will address the evolution of personal branding, discuss how many of its original elements are flawed and how one's ability to trust their brand is the ultimate solution (especially during these uncertain times). We will reveal the five (5) skills that are necessary for individuals and organizations to trust their brand.

Committee News & Needs
NAWBO-OC is Active in Community Events
On January 19, Christina Becker, Financial Advisor with Smith Barney and Tradeshow and Event Committee Chair of NAWBO-OC, attended the SCORE Women in Business Breakfast on behalf of NAWBO. There were approximately 85 women business owners in attendance. We received a very warm welcome from the SCORE counselors who are very supportive of our organization. The NAWBO table was very active with women inquiring about membership and eager to learn about the benefits of becoming a member.
On February 11th, Christina Becker represented NAWBO at the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce's networking breakfast. There were approximately 50 people in attendance, about half of whom were women. There was a lot of interest in membership and our upcoming dinner meeting on March 3rd. Many of the women had heard of NAWBO but were not familiar with the dinner meetings, mentoring or education so the event was a great way to get our name and benefits of membership out there.
The Tradeshow and Event Committee is working hard to get NAWBO's name out in the community as the premiere networking organization for women. Our next scheduled event is OC's Largest Mixer on March 11th.
NAWBO-California
Public Policy Day Summit - March 23 & 24
Annually, the leaders of the California chapters meet in Sacramento with California's legislators about issues that affect our business and the California economy. We expect 60+ chapter and community leaders to attend. This event includes a 4-hour visit to the CA Delta region on Monday to learn about the water crisis in the state, hosted by the Metropolitan Water District, and a four hour morning conference and luncheon to learn about the many issues impacting business in California on Tuesday, March 24th. The Summit concludes with afternoon visits with legislators at the Capitol building.
Things You Should Know About:
- AB32, a bill that is going to improve our environment is also going to increase our business expenses can we afford it?
- Workers comp rates are up 8.9% for 2009
- We are months away from an all-out drought with water rationing
- How much could Universal Health Care cost business owners?
- California is in a financial crisis
How will these issues impact your business this year? Join NAWBO California in Sacramento and let your voice be heard. Visit www.nawbo-ca.org to register.
