Message
from the New President, Barri Carian
Welcome to NAWBO-Orange County! As the 2nd largest
chapter in the nation, with over 400 members, we offer the broadest
exposure to influential women business owners of any organization
in Orange County. We have experienced explosive growth during
the past three years, due in large part to our
concentrated focus on the varied and ever-changing needs of women
business owners.
We understand that as you move through the stages of business
ownership, from thinking about starting a business, to starting
the business and being the "one-woman" show, to hiring
your first employee, to creating a multi-employee, multi-million
dollar sustainable business, your needs and requirements will
change. We offer networking, education and peer-to-peer roundtables
designed to provide high-impact, high-value support specifically
designed for you at each stage...continued

to build, yet only minutes to destroy. The risks that threaten
businesses, their customers and employees are real—and
growing. Chief among them is identity theft. In recent years
legislation has been passed to help protect consumers from
identity theft. Three major
federal regulations are FACTA, GLBA, and HIPPA. These laws
hold businesses accountable for any information they allow
to fall into the hands of criminals... continued

Go to Grow: Stop Doing and Start Leading (Aug 15) Instructor: Joan Friedlander, Lifework Business Partners.
Entrepreneurs and professionals who fail to let go
of some of the day-to-day operations of running their business
and
delivering services spend HOURS on activities and projects
that drain their energy. They run the risk of losing their
creative edge; they can become frustrated and burned out. By
hanging onto tasks, people and projects that no longer fit,
they hinder their ability to grow, both personally and professionally.
