Janet Cronick, of Ultimate Gifts and NAWBO-OC
member, was invited by the State Department to travel to
Peru in September
to participate in a series of seminars sponsored by the U.S.
Embassy in Lima. Janet shared her experience as a small business
owner with micro-entrepreneurs from Lima, Amazon region and
Andean mountains, as part of the Embassy's program to
help small businesses prepare for the upcoming U.S.-Peru Free
Trade Agreement.

Enterprising
Women Magazine is now accepting nominations for the
6th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards that will
be presented
at a special reception on February 29th, 2008. Five awards
will be given to businesses that have revenues from 1 million
to over 25 million dollars. Award winners receive national
recognition for themselves and their businesses through local,
regional and national publicity. Every winner and finalist
is profiled in Enterprising Women magazine, and the top award
winners will appear on the magazine’s front cover in

United States Small Business Administration is

The National Health Care Policy Task Force has made an exciting
debut. 30-plus members are looking at what is and isn't
working in state health care reform to help NAWBO develop
informed recommendations for the upcoming national policy
debate. Inspired by the recent NAWBO California health care
