NAWBO-OC
Needs YOU!
|
"Jumping
into committee work helped me to get to know my fellow
NAWBO members quickly! This exposure allowed me to
find vendors that I needed and get referrals for my
moving and storage business. When my company or a business
associate needs some type of service or product, I
always go to the NAWBO roster first." —Dee
Putman-Elliot, King Relocation Services

Committee Chair Positions
If you want to get
involved with NAWBO on a deeper level consider joining
our dynamic board of directors! Committee chair positions
generally require
about 4-10 hours per month. Board meetings,
which take place at 4pm on the day of the dinner meeting,
are optional for committee chairs. See
list of open board positions.
Committees
that need YOUR help
Committees
are the ideal place to get your feet wet. Time requirements
vary greatly and are generally very flexible. The "work" on
our committees is fun, as well as productive; and the
relationships developed are priceless.

other members, skill development, and gaining visibility
for your business. Contact Liz

to increase participation of corporations and community
organizations
with NAWBO-OC. Members on this committee contact corporate
and community organizations, thereby providing increased
visibility not only to NAWBO, but also to the individual
committee member and her business. In addition, committee
members have the opportunity to get better acquainted
with other NAWBO members. Hope to see you on the Corporate/Community
sponsor committee! Contact Cara

PUBLIC POLICY -
Members of this committee will help each member identify
their government representatives. Then we help set up appointments
for our members, as well as send letters to legislators.
The
time involved is 2-3 hours per month—mostly phone and email
work. In addition to developing political influence, committee
members have a great opportunity to get to know members,
what they do, and
where their businesses are located. We have great support
from both NAWBO-California and National. Contact Shaila
Mistry 951-738-2000.
REMARKABLE WOMEN AWARDS -
